CAT COMMUNICATION ADAPTER SOFTWARE INSTALLATION

NOTE
Install Cat communication adapter software first.
If Cat communication adapter software was previously installed on MSD, install Electronic
Technician (ET) software as described under Electronic Technician (ET) Software
Installation in this work package.
1. If not done previously, perform Maintenance Support Device (MSD) Setup and Starting MSD (WP 0008).
2. Release three fasteners (Figure 1, Item 2), and open peripheral bay access door (Figure 1, Item 1) on MSD
(Figure 1, Item 6).
3. Press DVD/CD ROM eject button (Figure 1, Item 3) to open DVD/CD ROM disk drive
(Figure 1, Item 4).
4. Insert Cat Communication Adapter 3 CD (Figure 1, Item 5) that comes with communication adapter kit in DVD/
CD ROM disk drive (Figure 1, Item 4) and gently close the DVD/CD ROM disk drive.
