MALFUNCTION

21. Engine Starts but
WARN I N G
Misfires, Runs Rough, or
Has Loss of Power
Under Load After
Warmup Period
DO NOT smoke or permit any open flame in area of machine while you
are servicing fuel system. Be sure hose nozzle is grounded against filler
tube during refueling to prevent static electricity.
Failure to follow this waning may result in injury or death to personnel, or
r
damage to equipment.
1. Check fuel/water separator for
Water Found -
water (WP 0012).
Open fuel/water separator drain valve
and drain (WP 0012).
Prime fuel system (WP 0004).
Proceed to step 2.
Water Not Found -
Notify Field Maintenance.
2. Start engine and check for misfire,
Engine Runs Smoothly -
rough running, or loss of power
Troubleshooting complete.
under load after warmup period.
Engine Misfires, Runs Rough, or
Has Loss Of Power Under Load -
Notify Field Maintenance.
C AU T I O N
22. Low Engine Oil Pressure
Alert Indicator, Action
When action alarm sounds, immediate shutdown of machine is required
Light, and Action Alarm
to prevent damage to machine.
Are On
1. Check for leaks.
Leak(s) Found -
Notify Field Maintenance.
No Leaks Found -
Proceed to Step 2.
2. Check engine oil level (WP 0012).
Engine Oil Level Is Correct -
Notify Field Maintenance.
Engine Oil Level Is Low -
Add engine oil (WP 0012).
Proceed to step 3.
