Stopping Machine

N OT E
Park machine on a level surface. If it is necessary to park on a grade, chock wheels
securely.
1. Apply service brakes to stop machine on level surface with machine straight, not articulated.
2. Shift transmission shift lever to N (Neutral).
3. Engage park brake.
4. Turn cushion-hitch to OFF position.
5. Lower bowl to the ground. Apply slight downward pressure to bowl.
6. Close apron.
7. Ejector forward.
8. Chock wheels.

CAU T I O N
Stopping the engine immediately after it has been working under load can result in
overheating and accelerated wear of engine components.
1. Operate engine at low idle for five minutes to allow engine and components to cool gradually.
2. Turn military light switch to OFF position.
3. Turn ignition switch to off (O) position.
4. Release hydraulic pressure as follows:
a. Turn ignition switch to on (I) position but do not start engine.
b. Move joystick and thumb lever through full range of travel several times.
5. Turn ignition switch to off (O) position.
6. Turn battery disconnect switch to off (O) position.
Leaving Machine

WARN I N G
Use caution and maintain three-point contact at all times when dismounting machine.
Failure to follow these warnings may result in injury or death to personnel.
1. Exit cab through door.
2. Use steps and grab handles to dismount. Face machine when dismounting.
3. Turn battery disconnect switch to off (O) position.
4. Secure machine against vandalism. Lock all covers and compartments.
5. Perform all After Operator PMCS (WP 0012).
