NOTE
Use bolt and washer removed from brake shoe dust cover (WP 0339) to attach lift link to
rear axle housing.
6. Install lift link (Figure 4, Item 2), washer (Figure 4, Item 3), and bolt (Figure 4, Item 4) on rear axle housing
(Figure 4, Item 1).
7. Using assistance, attach lifting device to lift link (Figure 4, Item 2).
WARNING
Use extreme caution when handling heavy parts. Provide adequate support and use
assistance during procedure. Ensure any lifting device used is in good condition and of
suitable load capacity. Keep clear of heavy parts supported only by lifting device. Failure
to follow this warning may result in injury or death to personnel.
NOTE
Note position of rear axle housing to aid in installation.
Rear axle housing weighs 485 lb (220 kg).
8. Using assistance and lifting device, remove 24 bolts (Figure 4, Item 5), washers (Figure 4, Item 6), and rear
axle housing (Figure 4, Item 1) from machine. Lower rear axle housing onto flat surface.
9. Using assistance, remove lifting device from rear axle housing (Figure 4, Item 1).
10. Remove bolt (Figure 4, Item 4), washer (Figure 4, Item 3), and lifting link (Figure 4, Item 2) from rear axle
housing (Figure 4, Item 1).
