WARNING
Use caution when using adhesives and sealants. Prolonged inhalation of vapors can
cause lung irritation. Contact with skin can cause dermatitis. Wear gloves and safety
goggles and use product in a well-ventilated area away from open flame. If ingested, keep
individual calm and seek medical attention. DO NOT induce vomiting. If contact with skin
or eyes is made, flush thoroughly with water. Dispose of cleanup rags IAW local policy and
ordinances. Failure to follow this warning may result in injury to personnel.
NOTE
Install fittings and elbows as noted during removal.
1. Apply sealing compound to threads of elbow (Figure 4, Item 4) and install elbow, with stop lamp switch
(Figure 4, Item 6) and tractor service brake pressure switch (Figure 4, Item 5) on brake air control
valve (Figure 4, Item 9).
2. Apply sealing compound to threads of fitting (Figure 4, Item 8) and install fitting, with scraper service brake
pressure switch (Figure 4, Item 7) on brake air control valve (Figure 4, Item 9).
3. Apply sealing compound to threads of four fittings (Figure 4, Item 1) and install fittings on brake air control
valve (Figure 4, Item 9).
4. Apply sealing compound to threads of elbow (Figure 4, Item 2) and install elbow on brake air control valve
(Figure 4, Item 9).
5. Install new gasket (Figure 4, Item 3) on brake air control valve (Figure 4, Item 9).
