CLEANING AND INSPECTION

1. Clean and inspect all parts IAW Mechanical General Maintenance Instructions (WP 0539).
2. Clean and inspect all parts IAW Electrical General Maintenance Instructions (WP 0540).
3. Inspect alternator pulley (Figure 6, Item 2) for wear or damage. Replace alternator pulley if worn or damaged.
4. Turn alternator pulley (Figure 6, Item 2) by hand. Alternator pulley should turn easily with no grinding sound. If
noisy, bearings are worn; replace alternator (Figure 6, Item 1).
5. Inspect bracket (Figure 6, Item 3) for cracks, wear, or deformities. Replace bracket if worn or damaged.
