CLEANING AND INSPECTION

1. Clean and inspect all parts IAW Mechanical General Maintenance Instructions (WP 0539).
2. Clean and inspect all parts IAW Electrical General Maintenance Instructions (WP 0540).
3. Inspect alternator pulley (Figure 21, Item 2) for wear or damage. Replace alternator pulley if worn or damaged.
4. Turn alternator pulley (Figure 21, Item 2) by hand. Alternator pulley should turn easily with no grinding sound. If
noisy, bearings are worn; replace alternator (Figure 21, Item 1).
5. Inspect bracket (Figure 21, Item 3) for damage. Replace bracket if damaged.
