WARNING
Contact with refrigerant can cause frostbite. Keep hands and face away to prevent injury.
Protective face shield and gloves must always be worn when refrigerant lines are opened,
even if gauges indicate air conditioning (A/C) system is empty.
Always use caution when disconnecting fittings. Slowly loosen fittings in a well-ventilated
area.
Do not smoke when servicing A/C system or wherever refrigerant gas may be present.
Failure to follow these warnings may result in injury or death to personnel.
NOTE
Before purging A/C system, replace receiver dryer if one or more of the following
conditions occur:
A/C system has been previously opened for service.
A/C system contains too much air or moisture, as indicated by low refrigerant.
Receiver dryer has been operated for 2 or more years.
A/C system has been opened for longer than 5 minutes.
Large A/C system leak exists (break in hose or line).
