1. Turn right turn signal OFF
(TM 5-3805-296-10).
2. Turn mode switch on military light
switch to OFF position
(TM 5-3805-296-10).
3. Turn battery disconnect switch to
OFF position (TM 5-3805-296-10).
4. Disconnect connector L-C2
(WP 0012, Figure 192)
from connector J-C1
(WP 0012, Figure 191).
5. Using digital multimeter
Resistance 5.0 Ohms or Less
(WP 0540), measure resistance
Proceed to step 6.
between connector L-C2
Resistance Greater Than 5.0 Ohms
terminal 5 (WP 0012, Figure 192)
Replace hood wiring harness
and connector L-C5 terminal A
(WP 0389).
(WP 0012, Figure 211).
Proceed to Test Step 13.
6. Using digital multimeter
Resistance 5.0 Ohms or Less
(WP 0540), measure resistance
Proceed to Test Step 4.

Resistance Greater Than 5.0 Ohms

Replace hood wiring harness
and connector L-C5 terminal B

1. Disconnect connector J-C8
(WP 0012, Figure 100)
from connector W-C1
(WP 0012, Figure 99).
2. Using digital multimeter
Resistance 5.0 Ohms or Less
(WP 0540), measure resistance
Proceed to step 3.
between connector J-C8
Resistance Greater Than 5.0 Ohms
terminal 40 (WP 0012, Figure 100)
Replace chassis wiring harness
and connector J-C1 terminal 5
(WP 0305).
(WP 0012, Figure 191).
Proceed to Test Step 13.
3. Using digital multimeter
Resistance 5.0 Ohms or Less
(WP 0540), measure resistance
Proceed to Test Step 5.
between connector J-C1 terminal 7
Resistance Greater Than 5.0 Ohms
