1. Turn battery disconnect switch ON

2. Turn mode switch on military light
switch to SER. DRIVE position

3. Using digital multimeter
Voltage 18 to 26 V Proceed to Test
(WP 0540), test for voltage

1. Turn mode switch on military light
switch to OFF position

2. Turn battery disconnect switch
OFF (TM 5-3805-296-10).
3. Disconnect connector L-C2
(WP 0012, Figure 192) from
connector J-C1
(WP 0012, Figure 191).
4. Using digital multimeter
Resistance 5.0 Ohms or Less
(WP 0540), measure resistance
Proceed to Test Step 10.

Resistance Greater Than 5.0 Ohms
terminal 3 (WP 0012, Figure 192)
Replace hood wiring harness
and connector L-C11 terminal 1
(WP 0389).

Proceed to Test Step 18.
Test Step 10. Test Chassis Wiring
Harness for High Resistance or
Open.
1. Disconnect connector J-C8
(WP 0012, Figure 100) from
connector W-C1
(WP 0012, Figure 99).
2. Using digital multimeter
Resistance 5.0 Ohms or Less
(WP 0540), measure resistance
Proceed to Test Step 11.

Resistance Greater Than 5.0 Ohms

Replace chassis wiring harness
and connector J-C1 terminal 3
(WP 0305).
