CAUTION
All Lights, Horn, and Backup
Alarm Fail To Operate
Do NOT reconnect any harness connector or install any component until
instructed to do so. Failure to follow this caution may result in improper
diagnosis.
NOTE
Always inspect harness connectors that are involved in the circuit. Poor
connections can often be the cause of a problem in an electrical circuit.
Verify that all connections in the circuit are clean and secure and that all
connections are in good condition. If a problem with the connection is
found, correct the problem and verify that this malfunction or diagnostic
code is active before performing this procedure.
Perform open or short-circuit test at each harness connection to identify
the correct harness to replace.
Tag all wiring harnesses to aid in installation.
Perform this test only if condition is active.
Test Step 1. Verify Condition.
NOTE
HI-beam headlights, LO-beam headlights, turn signals, horn, backup
alarm, and flood lights are disabled when military light switch is in B.O.
MARKER or B.O. DRIVE position.
If present, diagnose and repair failure of headlight, turn signal, horn, and
backup alarm before diagnosing failure of blackout lights.
Verify when malfunction occurs.
With Military Light Switch In STOP
LIGHT Or SER. DRIVE Position
Proceed to Test Step 2.
Only When Brakes Are Applied
Proceed to Test Step 30.
Only When Right Turn Signal Is
Switched ON Proceed to Test
Step 39.
Only When Left Turn Signal Is
Switched ON Proceed to Test
Step 40.
Only When Brakes Are Applied
(Blackout Only) Perform diagnostic
procedure One or Both Blackout
Stoplights Do Not Operate (WP 0152)
to diagnose shorted circuit.
With Blackout Lights Switched ON
Proceed to Test Step 41.
