Test Step 21. Test for Faulty Scraper
Service or Parking Brakes
Park Brake Pressure Switch.
Do Not Release Correctly -
Continued
NOTE
Verify parking brake is ON before performing this test
(TM 5-3805-296-10).
1. Turn ignition switch and battery
disconnect switch to OFF position
(TM 5-3805-296-10).
2. Disconnect connector AF-C5
(WP 0012, Figure 170) from
scraper park brake pressure
switch connector (WP 0012,
Figure 169).
3. Using digital multimeter
All Readings Are As Specified
(WP 0540), measure resistance
Proceed to Test Step 22.
between scraper park brake
One or More Readings Not As
pressure switch connector
Specified Replace scraper park
terminals as follows:
brake pressure switch (WP 0366).
a. between connector terminal C
Proceed to Test Step 29.
and terminal A (WP 0012,
Figure 169). Resistance should
be less than 1.0 Ohm.
b. between connector terminal B
and terminal C (WP 0012,
Figure 169). There should be no
Continuity.
c. between connector terminal A
and terminal B (WP 0012,
Figure 169). There should be no
continuity.
Test Step 22. Test Push Frame
Wiring Harness for High Resistance
or Open.
1. Connect jumper wire between
terminal A and terminal B
of connector AF-C5
(WP 0012, Figure 170).
2. Disconnect connector AF-C1
(WP 0012, Figure 164)
from connector AE-C2
(WP 0012, Figure 163).
3. Using digital multimeter
Resistance 5.0 Ohms or Less
(WP 0540), measure resistance
Proceed to Test Step 23.
between connector AF-C1
Resistance Greater Than 5.0 Ohms
terminal 13 and terminal 15
Replace push frame wiring harness
(WP 0012, Figure 164).
(WP 0347).
Proceed to Test Step 29.
