Engage Correctly
1. Start and idle engine for

20 minutes or until air pressure
gauge reaches normal operating
pressure (TM 5-3805-296-10).
2. Set park brake switch to engage
(brake on) position
(TM 5-3805-296-10).
3. Turn ignition switch to OFF
position. When engine stops, turn
ignition switch to ON position
(TM 5-3805-296-10).
4. Set park brake switch to
disengage (brake off) position
(TM 5-3805-296-10).
5. On MSD, select Information
(Figure 5, Item 1) and Status
(Figure 5, Item 2).
6. On MSD, select Status Group #9
(Figure 5, Item 5).
7. On MSD, monitor Scraper Air
Scraper Parking Brake Status
Pressure (Figure 5, Item 3), and
Changes From Off to On Proceed to
Scraper Parking Brake Status
Test Step 9.
(Figure 5, Item 4) while assistant
Scraper Parking Brake Status
rapidly pumps brake pedal
