NOTE
Adaptor 8T-7911, valved nipple 6V-3966, and quick disconnect hose 177-
7861 are from Gauge, Pressure Kit 1U-5482.
1. Loosen tube nut
(Figure 11, Item 4) and disconnect
hose (Figure 11, Item 7) from fitting
(Figure 11, Item 5).
2. Install valved nipple
(Figure 11, Item 2) on adaptor
(Figure 11, Item 3).
3. Install adaptor (Figure 11, Item 3)
on fitting (Figure 11, Item 5) and
tighten tube nut
(Figure 11, Item 4).
4. Connect quick disconnect hose
(Figure 11, Item 1) on valved
nipple (Figure 11, Item 2).
5. Turn battery disconnect switch to
ON position and start engine
(TM 5-3805-296-10). Idle engine
for 20 minutes or until air pressure
gauge reads normal operating
pressure (TM 5-3805-296-10).
NOTE
System air pressure must be maintained during test. Outlet air pressure
will drop as system air pressure drops.
6. Monitor and record air pressure

remove adaptor (Figure 11, Item 3) from
fitting (Figure 11, Item 5). Remove
valved nipple (Figure 11, Item 2) from
adaptor (Figure 11, Item 3).
Replace rear air brake relay (WP 0338).
Proceed to Test Step 12.
