4. Disconnect connector F-C1
(WP 0012, Figure 148) from apron
lower solenoid connector
(WP 0012, Figure 147).
5. Turn battery disconnect switch and
ignition switch to ON position
(TM 5-3805-296-10).
6. At MSD, check for active
1278-5 Apron Lower Solenoid
diagnostic code 1278-6 Apron
Current Below Normal Becomes
Lower Solenoid Current Above
Active Replace apron lower solenoid
Normal (WP 0008).
(WP 0434).
Proceed to Test Step 6.
1278-6 Apron Lower Solenoid
Current Above Normal Remains
Active Proceed to Test Step 2.
Test Step 2. Test for Shorted
Implement Wiring Harness.
1. Turn ignition switch and battery
disconnect switch to OFF position
(TM 5-3805-296-10).
2. Disconnect connector F-C8
(WP 0012, Figure 146)
from connector AE-C5
(WP 0012, Figure 145).
