Fill surge tank (8) until coolant level is
between maximum and minimum.
NOTE
While engine is running check
for leaks.

Start generator (TM 9-4940-568-10). Run
until operating temperature is reached.
(6)
Shut down generator.
(7)
Check radiator coolant level in surge tank
(8). Add coolant as required.

Lower stowage rack as outlined in Exhaust
System Replacement (Para 8-23).
