(1)  During inspection of tires, clearly mark with yellow marking crayon (Item 82, Appendix C) the locations of deficiencies as stipulated below. Lettering should be as large as possible and at least 3 inches by 2 inches (7.6 cm by 5.1 cm). (3)  Prior to submitting Code F tires to a commercial contractor for repair/retreading, the inspector will sign his name inside the tire with a yellow marking crayon. This will enable the using unit to identify the tire when it is returned, thereby protecting government property.
