(2) Tires classified by a qualified inspector as CRC H will be marked with a letter H on at least
three places inside the tire and one place on the sidewall using marking crayon. Lettering should be as
large as possible and at least 3 inches by 2 inches (7.6 cm by 5.1 cm).
(3) Prior to submitting Code F tires to a commercial contractor for repair/retreading, the inspector
will sign his name inside the tire with a yellow marking crayon. This will enable the using unit to identify
the tire when it is returned, thereby protecting government property.
