Tag and mark all cables to aid in installation.
10. Position two covers (Figure 6, Item 3) aside.
11. Loosen two nuts (Figure 6, Item 1) and remove clamps (Figure 6, Item 2) and negative battery cable
(Figure 6, Item 4) from batteries (Figure 6, Item 5) and position aside.

Clean and inspect all battery cables IAW TM 9-6140-200-13.

Route and install cables as noted during removal.
If returning from troubleshooting, proceed to step 9.
1. Install negative battery cable (Figure 6, Item 4) on batteries (Figure 6, Item 5).
2. Tighten two nuts (Figure 6, Item 1) on clamps (Figure 6, Item 2).
3. Position two covers (Figure 6, Item 3) on clamps (Figure 6, Item 2).
