WARNING
Use extreme caution when handling heavy parts. Provide adequate support and use
assistance during procedure. Ensure any lifting device used is in good condition and of
suitable load capacity. Keep clear of heavy parts supported only by lifting device. Failure
to follow this warning may result in injury or death to personnel.
CAUTION
Remove all plugs and caps from all hoses. Otherwise, damage to equipment can occur.
NOTE
Air compressor weighs approximately 60 lb (27 kg).
Air compressor is installed from top of engine compartment.
1. Install nylon lifting strap and appropriate lifting device on air compressor (Figure 35, Item 4).
2. With assistance and lifting device, position air compressor (Figure 35, Item 4) on front housing
(Figure 35, Item 1).
3. Install two nuts (Figure 35, Items 3 and 5) and washers (Figure 35, Items 2 and 6) on air compressor
(Figure 35, Item 4).
