MALFUNCTION

4. Using digital multimeter
Resistance 5.0 Ohms or Less
(WP 0540), measure resistance
Replace hood wiring harness
between connector J-C2
(WP 0389).
terminal 10 (WP 0012, Figure 189)
Proceed to Test Step 17.
and ground.
Resistance Greater Than 5.0 Ohms
Replace chassis wiring harness
(WP 0305).
Proceed to Test Step 17.
Test Step 6. Test Voltage to Left LO
Headlight.
1. Turn mode switch on military light
switch to OFF position
(TM 5-3805-296-10).
2. Turn battery disconnect switch to
OFF position (TM 5-3805-296-10).
3. Disconnect connector L-C12
(WP 0012, Figure 204)
from left LO headlight
(WP 0012, Figure 203).
4. Turn battery disconnect switch to
ON position (TM 5-3805-296-10).
5. Turn mode switch on military light
switch to SER. DRIVE position
(TM 5-3805-296-10).
6. Using digital multimeter
Voltage 18 to 26 V Proceed to step 7.
(WP 0540), test for voltage
Voltage Less Than 18 V Replace
between connector L-C12
hood wiring harness (WP 0389).
terminal 1 (WP 0012, Figure 204)
Proceed to Test Step 17.
and ground.
7. Using digital multimeter
Voltage 18 to 26 V Replace left LO
(WP 0540), test for voltage
headlight (WP 0382).
between connector L-C12
Proceed to Test Step 17.
terminal 1 and terminal 2
Voltage Less Than 18 V Proceed to
(WP 0012, Figure 204).

Harness for High Resistance or
Open.
1. Turn mode switch on military light
switch to OFF position
(TM 5-3805-296-10).
2. Turn battery disconnect switch to
OFF position (TM 5-3805-296-10).
