7. Disconnect connector P-C10
Properly Continued
(WP 0012, Figure 258) from 12 V
power port (WP 0012, Figure 259).
8. Turn battery disconnect switch and
ignition switch to ON position
(TM 5-3805-296-10).
9. Using digital multimeter
Voltage 11.5 to 14 V Proceed to Test
(WP 0540), test for voltage
Step 5.
between connector P-C10
Voltage Less Than 11.5 V Turn
terminal 1 and terminal 2
ignition switch and battery disconnect
(WP 0012, Figure 258).
switch to OFF position
(TM 5-3805-296-10).
Connect connector P-C10 (WP 0012,
Figure 258) to 12 V power port
(WP 0012, Figure 259).
Perform No Power From 12 Volt Power
Converter or 12 Volt Auxiliary Port
(WP 0137).
Proceed to Test Step 14.
Test Step 5. Test Voltage to Water
Valve.
1. Turn ignition switch and battery
disconnect switch to OFF position
(TM 5-3805-296-10).
2. Disconnect connector CA-C2
(WP 0012, Figure 281) from water
valve (WP 0012, Figure 280).
3. Turn battery disconnect switch and
ignition switch to ON position
(TM 5-3805-296-10).
4. Turn temperature select switch
fully counterclockwise
(TM 5-3805-296-10).
5. Using digital multimeter
Voltage 11.5 to 14 V Proceed to
(WP 0540), test for voltage
step 6.
between connector CA-C2
Voltage Less Than 11.5 V Proceed
terminal 1 and terminal 4
to Test Step 6.
(WP 0012, Figure 281).
6. Using digital multimeter
Voltage Changes Accordingly
(WP 0540), test for voltage
Proceed to Test Step 7.
between connector CA-C2
Voltage Does Not Change
terminal 2 and terminal 4
Accordingly Proceed to Test Step 8.
(WP 0012, Figure 281) while
assistant turns temperature select
switch slowly clockwise
(TM 5-3805-296-10). Voltage
should decrease steadily from
approximately 14 volts to 0 volts.
