Solenoid Out of Calibration
Open.

1. Remove jumper wire from terminal
6 and terminal 14 of connector
J-C3 (WP 0012, Figure 101).
2. Disconnect connector W-C12
(WP 0012, Figure 88) from
transmission/chassis ECM.
3. Connect jumper wire between
terminal 50 and terminal 59
of connector W-C12
(WP 0012, Figure 89).
4. Using digital multimeter
Resistance 5.0 Ohms or Less
(WP 0540), measure resistance
Replace Calibration Group 198-1758
between connector W-C1 terminal
(WP 0173).
4 and terminal 43
Proceed to Test Step 5.
(WP 0012, Figure 99).
Resistance Greater Than 5.0 Ohms
Replace main cab wiring harness
(WP 0505).
Proceed to Test Step 5.
Test Step 5. Perform Ejector
Solenoid Calibration.
CAUTION
Failure to hold joystick in proper position during calibration will create
invalid test results.
Perform ejector solenoid calibration
Calibration Successful
(WP 0173).
Troubleshooting complete.
Active Diagnostic Code Present
Diagnose and repair active code
(WP 0005).
Repeat troubleshooting from the
beginning.
Calibrating (never completes
process) Proceed to Test Step 6.
Calibration Value Too Low Replace
ejector reverse solenoid (WP 0439).
Calibrate solenoid (WP 0173).
Calibration Value Too Large
Replace ejector reverse solenoid
WP 0439).
Calibrate solenoid (WP 0173).
