1. Remove jumper wire from
terminal 8 and terminal 9 of
connector connector E-C2
(WP 0012, Figure 143).
2. Connect jumper wire between
terminal 8 and terminal 9
of connector W-C3
(WP 0012, Figure 139).
3. Disconnect connector W-C13
(WP 0012, Figure 89) from
transmission/chassis ECM.
(WP 0540), measure resistance
Replace transmission/chassis ECM
between connector W-C13
(WP 0495).
terminal 12 and terminal 4
Proceed to Test Step 6.
(WP 0012, Figure 89).
Replace main cab wiring harness
(WP 0505).
Proceed to Test Step 6.
Test Step 6. Verify Malfunction is
Resolved.
1. Ensure all harness connectors are
connected.
2. Turn battery disconnect switch and
ignition switch to ON position
(TM 5-3805-296-10).
3. At MSD, check for active
1277-5 Apron Raise Solenoid
diagnostic codes (WP 0008).
Current Below Normal Becomes
Inactive Proceed to step 4.
1277-5 Apron Raise Solenoid
Current Below Normal Remains
Active Repeat troubleshooting from
the beginning.
4. Turn ignition switch and battery
disconnect switch to OFF position
(TM 5-3805-296-10).
5. If removed, install splash shield
(Figure 4, Item 4), four bushings
(Figure 4, Item 3), washers
(Figure 4, Item 2), and bolts
(Figure 4, Item 1) on machine.
6. If lowered, install left frame access
plate (WP 0376).
