9. If Program ECM Results dialog box appears, select OK button.
10. Start and run engine until operating temperature is reached and verify proper operation of all components
(TM 5-3805-296-10). Check for active diagnostic codes by selecting Active Diagnostic Codes from Diagnostics
menu.
11. Once programming is complete, turn ignition switch to OFF position, shut down ET on MSD, disconnect from
diagnostic connector, and install diagnostic connector cover (WP 0008).

1. If not done previously, perform Maintenance Support Device (MSD) Setup and Starting MSD
(WP 0008).
NOTE
Flash File CD should be contained in MSD. If flash file is not available, contact your
supervisor.
Check the following website for the latest Caterpillar ET Software and ECM Flash files:
https://akoapps/armdec.army.mil.tacom/
2. Ensure correct ECM is highlighted.
3. Insert flash file CD.
4. Select WinFlash (Figure 9, Item 2) from Utilities menu (Figure 9, Item 1). WinFlash will detect all installed
ECMs.
