RECORDING DIAGNOSTIC CODES AND COPYING CONFIGURATION FROM ECM

NOTE
If Maintenance Support Device (MSD) is not able to communicate with any Electronic
Control Module (ECM), refer to ECM Unable To Communicate, in this work package.
1. If not done previously, perform Maintenance Support Device (MSD) Setup and Starting MSD
2. Either select Diagnostics drop-down menu (Figure 1, Item 1) and select Active Diagnostic Codes (Figure 1,
Item 2) or select Active Codes icon (Figure 1, Item 5) at bottom of MSD screen (Figure 1, Item 4).
3. If not selected, select Include All ECMs (Figure 1, Item 3) at bottom of MSD screen (Figure 1, Item 4) and
record all active diagnostic codes.
