Cleaning/Inspection
(1) Clean all parts.
(2) Inspect cylinder rod (10) and inner
surface of extension cylinder (1) for
nicks, scratches, gouging, pits, rust, or
corrosion. Clean any minor nicks,
scratches, gouges, pits, rust, or
corrosion with crocus cloth and fine
emery cloth.
(3) Nicks, scratches, gouges, pits, rust, or
corrosion that are too deep to be
cleaned with crocus cloth will limit or
prevent use of cylinder.
(4) Inspect cylinder rod (10) and extension
cylinder barrel (1) for trueness.
(5) Replace all parts failing inspection.
