GENERATOR

ENGINE WILL NOT CRANK OR CRANKS SLOWLY.
Lead-acid battery gases can explode. Do not smoke, have open flames, or make
sparks around a battery, expecially if caps are off. If a battery is gassing, it can
explode and cause injury to personnel.
Step 1. Check that Master Disconnect Switch (1) is in the ON position.
Position Master Disconnect Switch (1) in ON position.
Step 2. Check for dirty battery cable connections (2) or loose or broken battery cables (3) or posts (4).
If battery connections are dirty, or cable or posts are damaged, notify Unit Maintenance.
