To troubleshoot the brakes, perform the tests/inspections and corrective actions provided in Table 1.

should be 3/4 full.

Check brake hose and
tubes for obstruction or
damage.

Clear obstruction or
replace damaged hose or
tube(s).

Check for worn brakeshoe
linings. Brakeshoe linings
should have a minimum
thickness of 0.125 in. (3.2
mm).

Replace brakeshoes if
linings are worn (WP 0033

Check handbrake rod,
turnbuckles, shaft
assembly, and cable
assemblies for damage and
proper adjustment.
