CLEANING AND INSPECTION
WARNING
Dry cleaning solvent, P-D-680, is toxic and flammable. Always wear protective goggles
and gloves, and use only in a well-ventilated area. Avoid contact with skin, eyes, and
clothes, and DO NOT breathe vapors. DO NOT use near open flame or excessive heat.
The solvents flash point is 100°F-138°F (38° C-59°C). If you become dizzy while
using cleaning solvent, immediately get fresh air and medical help. If solvent contacts
eyes, immediately wash your eyes and get medical aid.

Clean draincock and air reservoir with dry cleaning solvent.

Inspect draincock and air reservoir for damage or corrosion. If damage or corrosion is found that would weaken
air reservoir, replace draincock or air reservoir.

Apply antiseizing tape to threads of draincock (9). Install draincock in air reservoir (4).
install four brackets (6) on chassis with four capscrews (1), new Iockwasher (2), and nuts (3).
Position air reservoir (4) in place in brackets (6) with draincock (9) on bottom.
Install two capscrews (5), new Iockwasher (7), and nuts (8) in brackets (6).
Connect air tube (11) to elbow (10) on air reservoir (4).
Close draincock (9) on air reservoir (4).
Connect EMERGENCY and SERVICE air couplings to semitrailer.
Perform leakage test (subpara a).
