WARNING
Use extreme caution when handling heavy parts. Provide adequate support and use
assistance during procedure. Ensure any lifting device used is in good condition and of
suitable load capacity. Keep clear of heavy parts supported only by lifting device.
Cylinder must remain level and balanced during installation on machine. Failure to follow
this warning may result in injury or death to personnel.
NOTE
Steering cylinder weighs 300 lb (136 kg).
1. Install choked lifting sling (Figure 11, Item 2) on steering cylinder (Figure 11, Item 3).
2. With assistance, use lifting device to lift steering cylinder (Figure 11, Item 3) from flat level surface to machine.
3. Install steering cylinder (Figure 11, Item 3) on cylinder mount (Figure 11, Item 1).
WARNING
Use caution when using adhesives and sealants. Prolonged inhalation of vapors can
cause lung irritation. Contact with skin can cause dermatitis. Wear gloves and safety
goggles and use product in a well-ventilated area away from open flame. If ingested, keep
individual calm and seek medical attention. DO NOT induce vomiting. If contact with skin
or eyes is made, flush thoroughly with water. Dispose of cleanup rags IAW local policy and
ordinances. Failure to follow this warning may result in injury to personnel.
4. Apply antiseize compound to rear pivot (Figure 11, Item 4), and install rear pivot on steering cylinder
(Figure 11, Item 3) and cylinder mount (Figure 10, Item 1).
