19. Position machine with fork attachment or other suitable machine in front of tire to block lockring during tire
inflation.
20. Turn off machine with fork attachment or other suitable machine.
WARNING
Eye protection must be worn during maintenance where components or particles could fly
out during procedure.
Ensure that lockring is fully seated and sitting flush on wheel prior to inflating tire. If
lockring is not fully seated, it may separate with great force from wheel during inflation of
tire.
Do not stand in front of tire while inflating. Lockring may separate with great force from
wheel during inflation of tire. Remain out of the path of trajectory at all times.
Failure to follow these warnings may result in injury or death to personnel.
21. Attach air gauge to valve stem (Figure 18, Item 6).
22. Inflate tire (Figure 18, Item 1) until inner and outer beads (Figure 18, Item 2) seat on wheel (Figure 18, Item 3)
and lockring (Figure 18, Item 5) seats against wheel flange (Figure 18, Item 4).
23. Remove air gauge from valve stem (Figure 18, Item 6). Allow tire (Figure 18, Item 1) to deflate.
24. Install valve stem core (Figure 18, Item 7) in valve stem (Figure 18, Item 6).
25. Attach air gauge to valve stem (Figure 18, Item 6). Inflate tire (Figure 18, Item 1) to recommended
55 psi (380 kPa).
26. Remove air gauge from valve stem (Figure 18, Item 6).
27. Install valve cap (Figure 18, Item 8) on valve stem (Figure 17, Item 6).
28. Remove machine with fork attachment or other suitable machine from front of tire (Figure 18, Item 1).
