2. Disconnect connector W-C23
Brake Solenoid Current
(WP 0012, Figure 83) from tractor
brake solenoid connector
Below Normal Continued
(WP 0012, Figure 82).
3. Connect jumper wire between
terminal 1 and terminal 2 of
connector W-C23
(WP 0012, Figure 83).
4. Turn battery disconnect switch and
ignition switch to ON position
(TM 5-3805-296-10).

5. At MSD, check for active
Solenoid Short to Ground Becomes
diagnostic code 1432-5 Tractor
Active Replace tractor brake solenoid
Parking Brake Solenoid Current
(WP 0365).
Below Normal (WP 0008).
Proceed to Test Step 3.

Remains Active Proceed to Test
Step 2.
Test Step 2. Test Main Cab Wiring
Harness for High Resistance or
Open.
1. Turn ignition switch and battery
disconnect switch to OFF position
(TM 5-3805-296-10).
2. Do not remove jumper wire from
terminal 1 and terminal 2 of
connector W-C23
(WP 0012, Figure 83)
3. Disconnect connector W-C13
(WP 0012, Figure 89) from
transmission/chassis ECM.
4. Using digital multimeter
Resistance 5.0 Ohms or Less
(WP 0540), measure resistance
Replace transmission/chassis ECM
between connector W-C13
(WP 0495).
terminal 36 and terminal 45
Proceed to Test Step 3.
(WP 0012, Figure 89).
Resistance Greater Than 5.0 Ohms
Replace main cab wiring harness
(WP 0505).
Proceed to Test Step 3.
Test Step 3. Verify Malfunction is
Resolved.
1. Ensure all harness connectors are
connected.
2. Turn battery disconnect switch and
ignition switch to ON position
(TM 5-3805-296-10).
