1273-09 Chassis Control
Test Step 12. Test Main Cab Wiring
Module Abnormal Update
Harness for High Resistance or
Rate Continued
Open.
1. Turn ignition switch and battery
disconnect switch to OFF position
(TM 5-3805-296-10).
2. Disconnect connector W-C13
(WP 0012, Figure 89) from
transmission/chassis ECM.
3. Using digital multimeter
Resistance 5.0 Ohms or Less at All
(WP 0540), measure resistance
Test Points Replace transmission/
between the following:
chassis ECM (WP 0495).
a. Connector W-C13 terminal 2
Proceed to Test Step 13.
(WP 0012, Figure 89) and
Resistance Greater Than 5.0 Ohms at
ground.
One or More Test Points Replace
main cab wiring harness (WP 0505).
b. Connector W-C13 terminal 22
Proceed to Test Step 13.
(WP 0012, Figure 89) and
ground.
c.
Connector W-C13 terminal 46
(WP 0012, Figure 89) and
ground.
Test Step 13. Verify Malfunction is
Resolved.
1. Ensure all harness connectors are
connected.
2. Turn battery disconnect switch and
ignition switch to ON position
(TM 5-3805-296-10).
3. At MSD, check for active
1273-9 Chassis Control Module
diagnostic codes (WP 0008).
Abnormal Update Rate Becomes
Inactive Proceed to step 4.
1273-9 Chassis Control Module
Abnormal Update Rate Remains
Active Repeat troubleshooting from
the beginning.
4. Turn ignition switch and battery
disconnect switch to OFF position
(TM 5-3805-296-10).
5. If removed, install lower and upper
plenum on ROPS (WP 0504).
6. If removed, install precleaner body
assembly (WP 0260).
7. Troubleshooting complete.
