Replace engine injector wiring harness
(WP 0183).
Remove jumper wire from terminal 2
and terminal 7 of connector CN-C1

Test Step 4. Verify Malfunction is
Resolved.
1. Ensure all harness connectors are
connected.
2. Ensure valve cover is installed on
engine (WP 0182).
3. Turn battery disconnect switch to
ON position and start engine or
attempt to start engine
(TM 5-3805-296-10).
4. At MSD, check for active
2-5 Cylinder #2 Injector Current
diagnostic codes (WP 0008).
Below Normal Becomes Inactive
Proceed to step 5.
2-5 Cylinder #2 Injector Current
Below Normal Remains Active
Repeat troubleshooting from the
beginning.
5. Turn ignition switch and battery
disconnect switch to OFF position
(TM 5-3805-296-10).
6. If removed, install splash shield
(Figure 5, Item 4), four bushings
(Figure 5, Item 3), washers
(Figure 5, Item 2), and bolts
(Figure 5, Item 1) on machine.
