INJECTOR TRIM FILE EXCHANGE OR LOAD

The MSD and ET are used to load fuel injector trim files for the injectors into the engine ECM. Trim files must be
loaded into ECM if any of the following conditions occur:
An injector is replaced.
Engine ECM is replaced.
"Injector Trim" is displayed below a diagnostic code 0268-02 on ET.
Injectors are exchanged between cylinders. Exchanging injectors can help determine if a fault is in injector or
cylinder.
Refer to (WP 0165) to exchange or load injector trim files.

ECM UNABLE TO COMMUNICATE

1. Using ET, attempt to communicate with any ECM (Engine, Transmission, Monitoring System)
a. If communication is established with any ECM, check for active diagnostic codes by selecting Active
Diagnostic Codes from the Diagnostics menu. Diagnose and repair the active code(s). Refer to
Troubleshooting Index (WP 0005).
b. If unable to communicate with any ECM, refer to Data Link Circuit Test in Monitoring System Tests and
Inspections (WP 0177).
