20. Position machine with fork attachment or other suitable machine in front of tire to block lockring during tire
inflation.
21. Turn off machine with fork attachment or other suitable machine.
WARNING
Eye protection must be worn because components or particles could be displaced during
procedure.
Ensure that lockring is fully seated and sitting flush on wheel prior to inflating tire. If
lockring is not fully seated, it may separate with great force from wheel.
Do not stand in front of tire while inflating. Lockring may separate with great force from
wheel. Remain out of the path of trajectory at all times.
Failure to follow these warnings may result in injury or death to personnel.
CAUTION
Ensure that lock on wheel aligns with notch on flange during tire inflation. Failure to follow
this caution may result in damage to equipment.
22. Attach air gauge to valve stem (Figure 19, Item 6).
23. Inflate tire (Figure 19, Item 1) until inner and outer beads (Figure 19, Item 5) seat on wheel (Figure 19, Item 2),
and lockring (Figure 19, Item 4) seats against wheel flange (Figure 19, Item 3).
24. Remove air gauge from valve stem (Figure 19, Item 6). Allow tire (Figure 19, Item 1) to deflate.
25. Install valve stem core (Figure 19, Item 7) in valve stem (Figure 19, Item 6).
26. Attach air gauge to valve stem (Figure 19, Item 6). Inflate tire (Figure 19, Item 1) to recommended pressure of
65 psi (448 kPa).
27. Remove air gauge from valve stem (Figure 19, Item 6).
28. Install valve cap (Figure 19, Item 8) on valve stem (Figure 19, Item 6).
29. Remove suitable machine with fork attachment or other suitable machine from in front of tire
(Figure 19, Item 1).
